Josie began dancing at triple threat dance academy when she was two years old, by the age of six she began competing there. The following year, she moved to dance at Shone Bright Dance Studio. Throughout her dance career, Josie has trained a multitude of styles including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and ballet. Alongside her studio training, Josie was a member of the Antioch Community High School Varsity Dance Team, where she was captain for two years. Josie has competed in the IHSA state competition three times, and was named an all-conference dancer three times throughout high school. Josie has won solo awards and group awards for her dance.​
