Kyla started dancing when she was three years old taking ballet and tap. She then continued to take on competitive dancing at the age of nine and continued till she was fifteen, dancing many different styles including lyrical, contemporary, jazz and hip hop. In highschool she continued dancing through her highschool dance team and even choreographed a piece for her classmates to perform in their high school dance showcase. ​
