​Tierney started dancing at the age of three at To The Pointe Dance Studio. At the age of eight, she moved to Aspire Dance Center where she trained and competed for ten years. Tierney has trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, tap, pom, and hip hop. Tierney also joined her high school varsity dance team where she was a member for all four years and made it to state her junior and senior year. She also has earned scholarships, solo overall awards, group overall awards, and has been a runner-up for a Miss Senior Dancer of the Year award.
